Structure of Master's Studies

The extent of the Master's Degree is 90 ECTS. The degree consists of the following studies: 

Common studies - choose 20 ECTS from Research and Development and Organizational Development competence areas. Common studies include also master's thesis 30 ECTS.

Specialisation studies  - choose on specialisation and minimum of 20 ECTS from it. Note that all specialisation areas are not available in every degree programme. Note also that specialisation or a certain course in it will not be implemented if there is not enough enrollments to it.

Free choice studies  - choose 20 ECTS from the common studies, from your own specialisation, from other specialisations or from other master level studies.

In English degree programmes the language requirement is to study minimum of 70 ECTS in english, including the thesis. In other words, students can study 20 ECTS in Finnish. The courses and descriptions are available in Finnish in here.
