President Teemu Kokko congratulated Kansai Gaidai University for university´s invaluable effort in nurturing global talents

Haaga-Helia´s partner Kansai Gaidai University celebrated the dedication of the new Gotenyama Campus Global Town 8 - 9 June in Osaka, Japan.

President Teemu Kokko was invited to give a speech in which he congratulated Kansai Gaidai University for the excellent effort in nurturing global talents. He pointed out how important it is for a university to engage in international cooperation and create students opportunities for global encounters and learning about the world.

President Kokko handed President Yoshitaka Tanimoto a gift that was a Finnish design stool to be placed on Gotenyama campus and used by local and international students and staff.

Kansai Gaidai University and Haaga-Helia established cooperation in 2012 by starting a reciprocal student exchange programme that has developed very successfully from its very beginning. The new Gotenyama Campus is named  “Global Town” which indicates that it is like a real town. It is rich in diversity and it brings local and international students together to share their ideas and opinions.
