Krea Spring School 2019 – International Customer Experience into Focus by Video Storytelling

For the fourth year in a row, Haaga-Helia marketing students’ Creative Agency Krea organized an international week Krea Spring School – Inspirational Storytelling, focused on customer experience and video storytelling.

Students and coaches from Haaga-Helia and six European partner universities provided this year’s client company, Pizzeria Via Tribunali, with new customer insight and inspirational customer experience stories on video. This way, the students developed their digital and creative business expertise, both in theory and hands-on.

Krea Spring School is an International Urban Co-Creation Environment  

Krea Spring School is a multicultural and creative co-creation environment that brings together students, branding professionals, entrepreneurs, and university coaches to research and develop urban customer experience. The project of the week brings into focus expectations, experiences, and viewpoints of young international students as travelers and customers in Helsinki.

The students analyze and reflect on their customer experience, both in multicultural teams and in cooperation with client company representatives. Based on their analysis, multicultural student teams plan and produce customer videos that illustrate their experience. Experiential learning combined with learning by doing has proven to be a good way to enrich the dialogue between customers and service providers, to gain new customer insight, and to develop hands-on skills in digital marketing and storytelling.

International Collaboration Network

Krea Spring School 2019 took place on Haaga-Helia Pasila Campus on 13-17 May. Altogether, an international group of more than 60 students and coaches participated either in the customer experience project or in organizing the week and its creative programme. The participants came from the universities of Haaga-Helia (Finland), Avans (the Netherlands), Thomas More (Belgium), Karel de Grote (Belgium), Budapest Business School (Hungary), Howest (Belgium), and OTH Amberg-Weiden (Germany). 

Along with a multicultural team of university coaches, two branding professionals and Creative Agency Krea key alumni took part in coaching the student teams: Creative Director Heidi Taina (TBWA\Helsinki) and Video Marketing Entrepreneur Thomas Halloran (Ikimedia).
