Exchange student course lists

Course selection guidelines

  • Only courses marked with EXCH are open for exchange students
  • Check that your courses are not overlapping by using the Timetable Tool

  • Normal course load is 30 ECTS/semester

BUSINESS STUDENTS
Pasila & Malmi campus

Courses can be selected from all the business programmes: International Business (GLOBBA), Business Administration (HELI), Finance (FINA) and Management Assistant (MUBBA/ASSI).

Specialisation courses of Business programmes, Pasila campus

IT STUDENTS
Pasila campus

Students can select courses from IT programmes (BITE & HETI) and business programmes.
JOURNALISM STUDENTS
Pasila campus
Journalism courses (JOURA) are only open for journalism students. In addition students can select business courses.
​HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM STUDENTS
Haaga campus
Courses can be selected from all the Haaga campus degree programmes: Hospitality, Tourism and Experience Management (HOTEM), Hotel and Restaurant Management (HOTRA), Tourism (MATKA)
TEACHER EDUCATION STUDENTS
Pasila campus
Courses of the School of Vocational Teacher Education are available ONLY for students from School of Vocational Teacher Education's partner institutions.
OTHER STUDENTS Course selection is limited. Growing Global module is recommended. This module gives a good introduction to International Business, a chance to develop your English and work with Finnish students.

Important to Note

  • When planning your course enrollments, please take into consideration the distances between campuses, if you choose courses from different campuses.
  • Students studying Business or IT at Pasila and Malmi campuses are not allowed to take Hospitality and Tourism courses at the Haaga campus.
  • Students studying in Helsinki should not choose courses from the Porvoo or Vierumäki campus due to long distance.
  • Organizational Communication specilisation courses from the Multilingual Management Assistant degree programme are open for exchange students who study communication as their major/minor.
  • Master level courses are not open for bachelor level students.
