Profile of the Non-Degree Programme in International Business Acumen
The IBA Programme offers its participants a compact but still flexible package of international business management courses, which will equip them with necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills for conducting international business successfully.
Upon successful completion of the programme, the student has
- an increased understanding of the global market
- strong theoretical knowledge of international business management
- beneficial cross-cultural management skills (negotiations, human resource management)
- practical insight of international business practices through case-studies, team works, possible foreign study trip and real business projects.
Intensive learning periods can be organized in case of visiting lecturers from our foreign partner schools. Study costs caused by acquiring learning materials etc. are taken care of by the students themselves.

- understanding essential concepts of international entry, critical issues in selecting & evaluating markets
- knowledge & understanding of different methods & tools to analyze alternatives in entering international markets and the role of opportunity and risk in international entry
- understanding the elements of international marketing planning
- understanding the impact of different cultures in IB and in a company level
- understanding the holistic concept of international logistics
- analyzing the services & costs of logistics service providers
- creating an income statement, a balance sheet and understanding IFRS terminology
- analyzing the financial statement
- understanding the basic concepts of international finance & the international risk management, the legal background of international actors and the UN Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods CISG
- concluding international trade contracts and understanding the terms of payment & delivery and their linkage.
