Ha Vu, Vietnam:
I’m studying International Sales and Marketing in Porvoo Campus. I started my degree in January 2017, after being in three other universities both in my home country and in Finland. What makes me believe Haaga-Helia is my last destination is that while studying in other schools felt very theoretical, Haaga-Helia combines the theoretical and practical sides.
Most of our studies consist of applying the theories into business activities. I have joined many projects with real businesses, and I think you learn much more by practicing. The school provides you opportunities for both studying and working professionally at the same time. The teachers are amazing: they are supportive, cheerful and give constructive feedback.
Before coming to Finland, I was searching for many other countries for a year. What made Finland really stand out was the greatest education system in the world. Here you are free to develop yourself in the way you want. Tuition fee for non-EU residents is affordable and there are many chances to get scholarship to cover the fee. If you work part-time, you can definitely support your studies financially, since the salaries are pretty reasonable.
In two years from now, after I graduate, my dream is to become an entrepreneur. I’m working on my business idea at the moment. Haaga-Helia also supports startups with their incubator StartUp School at Pasila campus.
Make sure you apply to Haaga-Helia now and say hi to me when you come to the campus!
