Applying to a HAAGA-HELIA degree programme

If you have completed 60 credits at the Open University of Applied Sciences, you can apply to a HAAGA-HELIA degree programme without taking an entrance examination. You must submit your application during the set application period and you need to have at least 60 credits completed before the end of the application period. You must also pass an interview with the degree programme director before your admission can be confirmed.

If you are applying through the joint application system of Finnish universities of applied sciences, you need to take an entrance exam and you do not earn any extra points for your Open University studies. Your Open University studies will be accredited once you have been admitted to a degree programme, however. HAAGA-HELIA's Admissions Office will answer any questions you may have with regard to applying to a degree programme

Online application

You can apply to a Finnish university of applied sciences online via www.amkhaku.fi (programmes taught in Finnish, adult education and master’s degree programmes) and www.admissions.fi (programmes taught in languages other than Finnish).
There are several benefits to applying online:

• The online system guides you through the process and checks that you have provided all of the required information, i.e. you don't need to consult any additional application instructions.
• Your application is directed electronically to the right address (the admissions office of your first choice).
• The online system also contains information about curricula and the application process.
  
  The online system is open during the application period, except during mornings from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Submit your online application no later than 4.15 p.m. on the last day of the application period.
