Note on Free Choice Studies
The amount of free choice studies is 15 credit points for foreign students and 24 for Finnish students. This is due to the differences in language studies. Students whose mother tongue is Finnish and who have completed Finnish upper secondary education or the Finnish Matriculation examination have language and communication studies for 9 credit points. Foreign students have language and communication studies for 18 credit points.
For Finnish students it is strongly recommended that they take additional foreign language studies to cover the difference of 9 credit credit points compared to foreign students' language studies
