Applying for studies that begin in August 2012

• The application period is from 9 January to 14 February 2012. Online application closes at 4.15 pm Finnish time (+2 hrs GMT) on 14 February 2012.
• Invitation letters are posted on 19 March 2012 
• The entrance examination will be held on 24 April 2012
• Kindly note that HAAGA-HELIA Degree Programme in International Business, Helsinki accepts only the entrance examination results gained in its own examination. Scores received in the entrance examinations of other degree programmes in Finland or abroad are not transferable/ accepted to this programme!
• Application results will be sent by post by 17 July 2012 at the latest
• The studies begin in August 2012

• Invitation letters are posted on 4 October 2012
• The entrance examination will be held on 23 October 2012
• Kindly note that HAAGA-HELIA Degree Programme in International Business, Helsinki accepts the entrance examination results gained in the examination arranged by HAAGA-HELIA Degree Programme in International Business, Porvoo. Scores received in other degree programmes in Finland or abroad are not transferable/ accepted to this programme!
• Application results will be sent by post 27 November 2012 at the latest
• The studies begin in January 2013

Entrance Examination

The entrance examination for studies starting in August will be held on Tuesday 24 April 2012 in Helsinki Pasila at 10.00 – 17.00 and for studies starting in January 2013 on 23 October 2012. All eligible applicants will be invited to the entrance examination.

The entrance examination consists of the following parts:

• Multiple choice test based on the material given in the examination
• Writing test based on the material given in the examination, both contents and English language will be assessed
• Logical thinking test
• Interview with BBA staff

There's no pre-reading material for the entrance examination, all material will be given during the examination. Applicants must pass each test part in order to qualify in the selection process. A separate English language test will NOT be arranged. The aim of the interview is to measure the candidates' motivation and career orientation towards international business studies, realistic expectations to complete the bachelor's studies and oral English language skills required in the HAAGA-HELIA International Business Programme The lowest accepted score in the entrance examination is 30/100. The entrance examination result is valid, only for each application season concerned.

Note that it is not possible to take the exam abroad.

HAAGA-HELIA does use discretionary admissions.
