Guidelines and templates
HAAGA-HELIA’s Management Group has decided in March 18, 2011 that all the process descriptions will be produced with the uniform technique. Each description consists of two documents: 1) process card and 2) process flow sheet. The process card is based on Enterprice SPICE -model and in the flow sheet the recommendation JHS-152 (in Finnish only) is followed.
The Quality System Services converts the existing process descriptions in cooperation with the process owners within two years. The work is done preferably when the process descriptions need a normal update. The old description can be used as work instructions (format is free) if those are not produced earlier.
The new application for producing the flow charts may bring some technical challenge to the process owners. We use MS Office Visio application and BPMN-notation technique. Visio courses have been offered in fall 2011. Our aim is that the process owners can update the flow charts independently in the future. The process card is based on a standard Word document with the preset layout and guidelines how to fill the card. In all cases help is available by the Quality Manager.
Links to the template files are on the left frame. Process description “process descriptions' approval and update” can also be used as an example (can be found from the last section of processes in the structured index).
