international accreditation
HAAGA-HELIA was approved in February 2011 as a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The aim for the coming years is to develop HAAGA-HELIA’s quality system in such a way that HAAGA-HELIA will gain AACSB accreditation. Accreditation is important for partners and stakeholders, who are increasingly requiring that HAAGA-HELIA’s quality has been accredited by an impartial body.
AACSB was founded in the U.S. in 1916 and today has more than 500 members in more than 30 countries. The association is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
The association provides accreditation for institutes of higher education providing management education (business & accounting). HAAGA-HELIA is seeking accreditation for its business education unit and for degree programmes with a sufficient number of business courses required for accreditation. To date, accreditation in Finland has been received by the Aalto University School of Economics, and other Finnish AACSB members are Hanken School of Economics and University of Oulu (as of February 2011; check also AACSB’s membership register).
HAAGA-HELIA’s AACSB project team has its own website. Please contact Juha P. Lindstedt, Quality Manager, for more information.
