Haaga-Helia collects feedback with the help of several methods from the present students and from them who already have graduated.
Course feedback is collected from every course (electronically since 2014) and the summaries are published after every semester.
Student survey covers both education and support services of Haaga-Helia, and is directed to all the students. Special attention is paid for student well-being. The first survey took place in 2012 and second 2014. Since then the survey has been annual. The report has two volumes: one for numeric results (see below) and one for open-ended answers.
AVOP feedback system
Universities of Applied Sciences have a consistent, national student feedback system, AVOP. With the inquiry system, real time information is gathered from graduates on the success of e.g. teaching, guidance and work placement. The system was built up by the Ministry of Education and the questions were formed together with Universities of Applied Sciences.
The Ministry of Education uses student feedback in evaluating and planning education and in comparing Universities of Applied Sciences.
Universities of Applied Sciences use the received feedback in developing education, guidance and practical training in different fields of education and in comparing the results with other Universities of Applied Sciences.
Haaga-Helia collects feedback from alumni after two years of graduation - therefore the official name of the surveys is "delayed feedback from graduated". The feedback contains questions of recruitment, job places, relevance of studies from working life's point of view, etc. The interval between surveys is 3 years. The reports are publicly available in Haaga-Helia's quality portal.
The reports are available in Finnish only.
Please contact Quality Manager for any older reports. In addition to the surveys mentioned above, feedback is gathered from students with specific questionnaires and in active interaction.
