Quality-related pages of HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences

Formerly, before the era of web technology, these "Quality-related pages" had been called as a "quality handbook" or "quality manual". Since word "book" refers to a concrete object the name of the entity of Internet, MyNet (extranet) and intranet pages is called "Quality-related pages of HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences".

These pages provide general information on quality assurance at HAAGA-HELIA. The information has been structured based on the concepts employed by the Finnish Higher Education Evaluation Council during its second audit of HAAGA-HELIA (quality assurance system, quality management, quality policy and quality culture). HAAGA-HELIA’s quality policy is based on HAAGA-HELIA’s vision, mission and values, which are presented elsewhere on HAAGA-HELIA’s website. Key quality assurance system instruments have been compiled in a process description entitled Assessment Systems.  All key instruments also have their own process descriptions.

In a modern big company it is possible to control the quality of processes only if the processes are well described and the quality criteria are set to them. All the actors in the company should be able to comprehend which ever process they choose by reading the process description instead of asking the co-workers' opinions of how the process goes. The complete lists of the process descriptions are on the Internet pages; by following the links the non-public process descriptions on the intranet and MyNet pages can be accessed if logged on the local area network. The process description sections located on the intranet and MyNet pages are storage areas which are ment for management use only; persons other than authorized managers should avoid accessing the files by using the intranet and MyNet indexes straight forward.

Structure

Comments on the pages can be sent to HAAGA-HELIA's Quality Manager (juha.lindstedt(at)haaga-helia.fi). Comments refering to the individual process descriptions should be directed to the person responsible of the description.
