Vierumäki campus is located at Vierumäki Resort, about an hour’s drive from Helsinki. Information about the learning environment
Within the new and innovative educational concept of process-oriented working-methods the students are directly working in close-cooperation with companies on solving real-life problems by means of innovative and creative solutions.
Vierumäki campus offers unique opportunities for the students to be actively involved in the sport of their choice on a local, national and international level. The partners of the Vierumäki campus are the Sport Institute of Finland, the Vierumäki Country Club, the Sport Business School, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the Ice Hockey Centre of Excellence (IIHCE), the Finnish Ice Hockey Association (FIHA) and several other sports associations and federations and sport companies.

Accessibility and support for learning
The new buildings of the Vierumäki campus also take into consideration students with reduced mobility. Taxis for the disabled can stop in front of the Ilkka building, and there is a wheelchair ramp to the entrance. The accessibility of the exercise facilities and the indoor swimming pool has also been improved. Each floor in Ilkka and Pihkala can be accessed via elevators. The facilities in Kaskela are still difficult to access for the disabled.
Vierumäki campus has own library, which is part of the Haaga-Helia UAS main library. The library collection covers the topics of sport, sport education, coaching, and exercise. In the library all information channels and search engines which are in use by Haaga-Helia UAS are accessible.

Students receive support for their studies from student tutors and teachers. Guidance and counselling is provided by the student counsellors (teacher tutors) of each group. The aim of the guidance is to support the personal development and professional growth to help students achieve the respective study goals. Each student draws up a personal learning plan during in the beginning of studies. The personal learning plan is adjusted and revised on a regular basis together with the student advisor.

Haaga-Helia’s Student Union HELGA is a statutory part of the University of Applied Sciences, and its most important duty is promoting the interests of students. More information about HELGA: www.helga.fi/en/. Tahkon Talli ry is local student associations, which operates at Vierumäki campus.
The Sport Institute of Finland provides student housing at Vierumäki campus. There are two accommodation options: living in Vierumäki through the academic year or living there only on weekdays. Weekday accommodation (Mon-Fri) is available for approximately 70 students and full-time accommodation (Mon-Mon) for approximately 50 students. As a student studying in Finland you get a discount on train and bus tickets if you have a student union card approved by VR and/or Matkahuolto. Full-time students living in the HSL area (home municipality area either Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Sipoo or Vantaa) can also purchase reduced rate Travel Card tickets.

The campus has a student restaurant Kaskela. Each student is entitled to a subsidized lunch at the student restaurant upon representing a valid student card or the meal reduction card from KELA. The Haaga-Helia UAS students are also entitles to buy breakfast and dinner for a reduced price at the student restaurant.
Health care services
The statutory health care services of university students are the responsibility of public health stations. Vierumäki campus has a public health nurse, who takes appointments two days a week at Kaskela -building.
