Haaga-Helia’s Malmi campus is situated next to an area of detached housing about five minutes’ walk from the Malmi Railway Station.

The Malmi campus offers degree programmes in Business and Information Technology. There are approximately 1,200 students and 60 staff at Malmi.
Information about the learning environment
Methods like contact teaching, intensive weeks, online learning and multiform and distance learning are utilised in teaching. The tools used include the Moodle learning platform, the Adobe Connect online learning platform, with Microsoft Lync 2013 as the most recent addition.
There is a computer facility available to students for independent working. The Malmi campus also has a library. The Office of International Affairs is open regularly to assist students interested in student exchange, for example.
Accessibility and support for learning
Students are given guidance with matters related to studying, career planning and working life. All students are appointed a student counsellor for the duration of their studies.
The campus has lifts to accommodate persons with reduced mobility.
If needed, students can get an appointment with the university chaplain, study psychologist or psychiatric nurse.
Information about living costs
Students can apply to HOAS, the Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region, for student housing.
University students are entitled to meal subsidy from Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. Students can purchase lunch and other café services at student restaurant Malmica.
The Malmi campus includes the Helmi Centre sports hall, whose facilities and gym are available to students.
